Antibes is a very peaceful yet exiting city for any students wishing to carry out an internship or work placement here. With its 73.000 inhabitants and the largest yachting harbour in Europe it plays a very big part in the developement of the cote d’azur. Antibes has a lot of prestigieus annual events such as “Music at the Heart”, “Juan-les-Pins Jazz Festival”, the oldest in Europe, “Underwater Images World Festival”, and the renewned “Old Antibes Antique Fair”. All these events are known around the world and attract a great international audience.

Other things Antibes is known for are the variety of museums such as the Picasso Museum, and the Peynet Museum, the marine zoo, marine land and the beautiful villas on Cap d'Antibes where the rich and famous of the world hide away. International students planning to study or do an internship in Antibes should really check these places out.

SHOPPING
For all you students out there who just can't keep away from the shops, you are going to love the Antibes with a great number of national and international stores to be found in the beatiful centre. Walking through the centre there are lots of beatiful streets with nostalgic shops and pretty restaurants and bars. Numerous brands have department stores in Antibes which makes it a perfect place to live and shop during your internship or practial work experience.

During your exciting study-time in Antibes as an international student, you’ll find that this city has its own charm with its local, national and international fashion scene. It is best to find out for yourself by wondering around the long-stretched shopping streets with your friends from college.

Another thing found in Antibes are very big markets called hyper marches. These markets have everything you can imagine. From a mobile phone to a yoghurt, from books to cakes everything is to be found in these markets.

Parks and sights in Antibes
Antibes has a lot of parks and gardens, great for when you need to take a break whilst you are studying or taking a break from your internship. A good example of such a park is Villa Eilenroc.
This park is built on a rock in the middle of a virtual desert. The area was transformed into a glorious garden through the patience and talent of Jacques Greber, landscape architect and consultant to the Great Exhibition in New York in 1939. He was able to grow a great variety of vegetation which gives the park a great look, perfect for a walk or to have a picnic.

Another park is Thuret Park, created In 1857 by Gustave Thuret,he bought five hectares of land where he began the creation of this beatiful park.

Another park or actually a garden is the Exflora Park. A five hectare big garden open to the public. The garden has all kinds of mediteranean influences and is located next to a great number of olive gardens. This park offers numeroous possibilities to relax, sit down and enjoy the beatiful aspects of nature. Great for international students  studying in Antibes as its a great place to relax and enjoy the out doors..

Antibes also has a great deal of beatiful sights as a student in Antibes you should really pay a visit to the 16th century Château Grimaldi. This castle has a great view over the mediteranean sea and gives a great impression of  the past of Antibes.
